RTI कशासाठी वापरायचा?What should RTI be used for?
RTI म्हणजे सार्वजनिक प्राधिकरणाकडे अस्तित्वात असलेली माहिती, नोंदी, आदेश, फाइल नोटिंग, प्रमाणित प्रती किंवा नोंदींचे निरीक्षण मागण्याचा कायदेशीर मार्ग. “माझा रस्ता दुरुस्त करा” ही तक्रार आहे; “या रस्त्याच्या दुरुस्ती आदेशाची व खर्च मंजुरीची प्रमाणित प्रत द्या” ही RTI विनंती होऊ शकते.RTI is a legal route to ask a public authority for existing information, records, orders, file notings, certified copies or inspection of records. “Repair my road” is a grievance; “provide the certified repair order and expenditure sanction for this road” can be an RTI request.

महाराष्ट्र नियमांनुसार एक अर्ज एका विषयापुरता असावा आणि साधारणपणे 150 शब्दांपेक्षा जास्त नसावा. 7 जुलैच्या Annexure A मध्ये सर्वसाधारण अर्जदारासाठी photo-ID जोडण्याची अट नाही; BPL फी-सवलत मागणाऱ्या अर्जदारासाठी BPL प्रमाणपत्राची प्रत नमूद आहे.Under the current Maharashtra rules an application should concern one subject and ordinarily not exceed 150 words. Annexure A to the 7 July notification does not state a general photo-ID attachment requirement; it specifies BPL proof where fee exemption is claimed.

उत्तराची वेळमर्यादाResponse timelines
सर्वसाधारणपणे RTI Act अंतर्गत PIO कडून 30 दिवसांत निर्णय अपेक्षित असतो. जीवन किंवा स्वातंत्र्याशी संबंधित माहितीच्या बाबतीत 48 तासांची तरतूद आहे. इतर विशेष परिस्थितींमध्ये वेगळे नियम लागू होऊ शकतात.Ordinarily, the RTI Act provides a 30-day period for the PIO’s decision. Information concerning life or liberty has a 48-hour provision. Different rules can apply in other special situations.

चांगली RTI विनंती कशी लिहावीHow to frame a useful RTI request
- एकच विषय ठेवा आणि तारीख/कालावधी स्पष्ट द्या.Keep to one subject and specify dates/time period.
- “कारवाई करा” ऐवजी “कारवाई नोंद/फाइल नोटिंग/आदेशाची प्रमाणित प्रत द्या” असे मागा.Instead of “take action,” ask for the action-taken record/file noting/certified order.
- अधिकाऱ्याचे मत/स्पष्टीकरण तयार करून देण्याऐवजी अस्तित्वात असलेली नोंद मागा.Ask for existing material rather than requiring an officer to create an opinion/explanation.
- अर्जाची प्रत आणि acknowledgment जतन करा.Keep a copy and acknowledgement.
