मुंबईत “रस्ता म्हणजे BMC” किंवा “ट्रॅफिक म्हणजे फक्त पोलीस” अशी सोपी समीकरणे अनेकदा चुकीची असतात. मालमत्ता, सेवा, अंमलबजावणी आणि प्रकल्पाचे अधिकारक्षेत्र वेगळे असू शकते.In Mumbai, simple assumptions such as “road means BMC” or “traffic means only police” can be wrong. Asset ownership, service delivery, enforcement and project jurisdiction can belong to different bodies.

नियम: तक्रार करण्यापूर्वी “ही जागा/रस्ता/सेवा कोणाच्या ताब्यात आहे?” हे पडताळा. खालील माहिती सामान्य दिशा देते; विशिष्ट रस्त्याचे मालकी/देखभाल अधिकार प्रकल्पानुसार बदलू शकतात.Rule: Before complaining, verify “who owns/maintains this location, road or service?” The guidance below gives a starting point; specific asset jurisdiction can vary by project.

BMC / MCGM

सामान्य दिशा: महानगरपालिका नागरी सेवा आणि BMC च्या ताब्यातील पायाभूत मालमत्ता. routine municipal grievances साठी BMC चे अधिकृत complaint system वापरा.General direction: Municipal civic services and infrastructure under BMC control. Use BMC’s official complaint system for routine municipal grievances.

Mumbai Police

सामान्य दिशा: कायदा-सुव्यवस्था, गुन्हे, पोलीस संबंधित बाबी. तातडीच्या धोक्यात 112/100; गंभीर cognizable matter साठी जवळचे पोलीस स्टेशन.General direction: Law and order, crime and policing matters. In immediate danger call 112/100; serious cognizable matters belong at the nearest police station.

Mumbai Traffic Police

सामान्य दिशा: वाहतूक नियमांची अंमलबजावणी, सुरक्षित/सुरळीत वाहतूक, traffic grievance. परंतु physical road engineering/repair दुसऱ्या road-owning authority कडे असू शकते.General direction: Enforcement of traffic regulations, safe/smooth traffic flow and traffic grievances. Physical road engineering/repair may belong to a different road-owning authority.

सामान्य दिशा: MMR मधील निवडक मोठे transport infrastructure projects, Metro-related planning/projects, bridges/roads/FOBs/multimodal works आणि इतर प्रकल्प. प्रत्येक रस्ता MMRDA चा नसतो.General direction: Selected major transport infrastructure in the MMR, metro-related planning/projects, bridges/roads/FOBs/multimodal works and other projects. Not every Mumbai road belongs to MMRDA.

सामान्य दिशा: राज्याच्या ताब्यातील roads, bridges आणि government buildings; PWD च्या jurisdiction मधील pothole service सुद्धा RTS अंतर्गत notified service म्हणून सूचीबद्ध आहे.General direction: State-controlled roads, bridges and government buildings; PWD also lists pothole filling within its jurisdiction as a notified RTS service.
